Governance

The College of Professors is the organization that brings together all the professors of the Doctorate, both internal and external, and the representatives of the PhD students. It performs all the most important functions (assignment of supervisors, year progressions, educational organization of the Doctorate, student practices, etc.). Many of these functions are delegated to the Board, which is numerically smaller: for example, the most common student practices (work permits, co-tutorships, stays abroad, etc.). For these practices, please send a request to the Head of PhD Programme (Prof. Franco Tomasi) or the Vice-Coordinator (Prof. Margherita Losacco).

Election of PhD student representatives for College and Board The representatives of the PhD students must be equal to 15% of the entire College, rounded up to the next unit (art. 12.2 of the Regulations). Two of these representatives will participate in the meetings of the Executive Board limited to issues concerning educational and organizational problems of the doctorate (art. 14.3).
